- When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - Even to your old age I will be the same,
And even to your graying years I will carry you!
I have done it, and I will bear you;
And I will carry you and I will save you. - I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.
- Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

And I will bring them back,
Because I have had compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had not rejected them,
For I am the Lord their God and I will answer them. - In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - Stop striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth. - I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me;
I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me.
I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’
To a nation which did not call on My name. - I have chosen the faithful way;
I have placed Your judgments before me. - I have treasured Your word in my heart,
So that I may not sin against You. - Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. - But I will sacrifice to You
With a voice of thanksgiving.
That which I have vowed I will pay.
Salvation is from the Lord. - I acknowledged my sin to You,
And I did not hide my guilt;
I said, “I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord”;
And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah - I will rejoice and be jubilant in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. - I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments. - Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.
- Whom do I have in heaven but You?
And with You, I desire nothing on earth. - For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ - For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
- I have made a covenant with my eyes;
How then could I look at a virgin? - I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. - And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
- Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
Save me and I will be saved,
For You are my praise. - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonders. - I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - I will exalt You, my God, the King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have nothing good besides You.” - I have instructed you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in upright paths. - Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.
- Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning,
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul. - I will give thanks to You, Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations. - Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.
- Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
- ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord;
‘I will not look at you in anger.
For I am gracious,’ declares the Lord;
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - Because Your favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - For I will be merciful toward their wrongdoings,
And their sins I will no longer remember. - But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
- Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - I love the Lord, because He hears
My voice and my pleas.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. - Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.”
- I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will advise you with My eye upon you. - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
