If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. |
| But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. | But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience. |
| If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. | If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. |
| Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. | Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth: it is better for you that I depart. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, whereas if I go, I will send him to you. |

| What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
| He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray. | Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life, but anyone who rejects correction goes astray. |
| For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known. | Anyone who leads an honorable life walks in safety, but whoever pursues wicked ways will be found out. |
| Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. | Therefore, whoever breaks even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever observes these commandments and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. |
| Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. | Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation. |
| Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” | Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” |
