- And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’
- If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! - Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
- So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - I have instructed you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in upright paths. - In You, Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never be put to shame;
In Your righteousness rescue me. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.
- Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.
- Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father, who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.’ - Some praise their chariots and some their horses,
But we will praise the name of the Lord, our God. - But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over every ruler and authority.
- I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
- For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.
- For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.
- God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
- Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory. - Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
- For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than live in the tents of wickedness. - Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life.
