| Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation. | As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. |

| Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. | Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. |
| Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control. | He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. |
| But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. | But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |
