In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1	In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God Word of God
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. John 1:3	All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Word of God creation life
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:5	And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. evil overcoming light
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12	But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. faith Father children
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14	And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. truth Jesus Word of God
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. John 1:18	No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. Jesus Father nearness
I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ John 1:33	I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ Jesus Spirit baptism
