How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.How can a young man lead a spotless life? By living according to your word.
If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.The prudent man perceives danger and seeks shelter, while the simple continue forward and pay the penalty.
If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.Follow my statutes and keep my commandments and obey them. Then I will give you rain in its proper season and the yield of the land shall increase and the trees of the field shall bear their fruit.
We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body.
Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me; may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever.
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.When you pray do not go on babbling endlessly as the pagans do, for they believe that they are more likely to be heard because of their many words.
Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.Remember that you were once a slave in the land of Egypt. Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.Where many words are spoken, sin is not absent, but whoever restrains his tongue is prudent.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them.
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.If anyone thinks that he is religious but does not restrain his tongue, he is deceiving himself, and his religion is worthless.
But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die.
If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.Therefore, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials and to hold the wicked for punishment until the Day of Judgment.
So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.Guide my steps in accord with your word and never let evil triumph over me.
