| And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. | I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions. |
| Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. | Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. |

| I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. | I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. |
| We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments. | We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. |
| Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. | Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. |
| Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. | All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal. |
| Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. | Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. |
| I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. | I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. |
| I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. | I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws. |
| Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. | Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. |
| I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. | I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
