| Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. | But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints. |

| If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. | Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. |
| There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? | In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. |
| In those days when you pray, I will listen. | Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. |
| This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. | This is the day which the Lord has made; Let’s rejoice and be glad in it. |
| Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery. | Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. |
| And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. | And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. |
| Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. | Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. |
| We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us. | As he came naked from his mother’s womb, so he will return as he came. He will take nothing from the fruit of his labor that he can carry in his hand. |
| So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. | Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. |
| Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. | If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever! |
