Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
