Let your light shine (2/4)

Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh. Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’

Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory.For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.
Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments.I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
Make the path of your feet level. Let all of your ways be established.Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.
Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness.In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart.My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
