But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints.But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass.Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.Is anyone among you sick? And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
