Chinese (traditional)- Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life and honor too. - The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace.
- After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom should I be afraid? - Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - Guard your heart with all possible vigilance,
for from it flow the wellsprings of life. - The tongue has the power over life and death;
those who cherish it will enjoy its fruits. - This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren. - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life.
- In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served but rather to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. - A thief comes only
to steal and kill and destroy.
I have come
that they may have life,
and have it in abundance. - Never will I forget your commands,
for through them you have given me life. - You will show me the path to life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence
and everlasting delights at your right hand. - Blessed is the man who perseveres when he is tempted, for when he has been proven, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and those who find it are few in number.
- Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. I give you all these things, just as I have already given you every green plant. Only do not eat flesh along with its life, that is, with its blood.
- For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more certain it is that, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
- His divine power has bestowed on us everything that is necessary for life and for devotion through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
- Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way.
- For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life. - Jesus answered them,
“I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” - As for me, I do not regard my life as of any value, only that I finish the race and complete the mission that I received from the Lord Jesus—to bear witness to the gospel of God’s grace.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven.
Whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my flesh, for the life of the world.The way of God is blameless,
and the Lord’s promise proves true;
he is a shield to all
who flee to him for safety. The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.Next verse!With image
