| I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. | I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance. |

| Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. | Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. |
| I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. | I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. |
| I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. | I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. |
| Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. | But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. |
| But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? | But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him? |
| But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. | My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. |
| The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? | Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? |
| But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. | As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him. |
| The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. | The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth. |
| Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. | Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. |
| The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. | Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. |
| Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. | Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes. |
| The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. | Yahweh is my strength and my shield. | O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. | My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” |
| In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. | In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness. |
| Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. | Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. |
| Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. | Teach me your way, Yahweh. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name. |
