Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. | Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. |
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. | And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. |
