Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone.
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps.
And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly.
