than to trust in man. - How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word. - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
- For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
- But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way to death. - For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
- What is desired in a man is steadfast love,
and a poor man is better than a liar. - Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.
