| For: “If anyone wishes to love life and to experience good days, he must restrain his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.” | For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. |
| Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints. | But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. |
| Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up. | Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. |
| Therefore, strive to be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect. | Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. |

| It is the Lord, your God, whom you are to follow. You must fear him and observe his commandments and obey what he tells you and serve him and hold fast to him. | Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. |
