I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you.Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you.
‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.
Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.
Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.

You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
