The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.
If you love me, keep my commands.If you love me, keep my commandments.
Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.
Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.Hear my prayer, Yahweh. Listen to my petitions. In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me.
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul.
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”“Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.”
My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.Praise Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, praise his holy name!
Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”Jesus therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places.
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in his word.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.”

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart.
