- I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

- On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
- Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
- But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
- The Lord says,
“I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help.
I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me.
I said, ‘Here I am, here I am!’
to a nation that did not call on my name.” - So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
- Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
- Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
- Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen. - But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
- Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
