Bible Verses about 'Nations'

  • The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but will never need to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they will not rule over you.
  • I will thank you, Lord, among all the people.
I will sing your praises among the nations.
  • I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord.
  • And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.
  • In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
  • Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.
  • If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.
  • In that wonderful day you will sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!”
  • Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
  • I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed. I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions.
  • Some nations boast of their chariots and horses,
but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
  • Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith:
Christ was revealed in a human body
    and vindicated by the Spirit.
    He was seen by angels
    and announced to the nations.
He was believed in throughout the world
and taken to heaven in glory.
  • Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.
  • Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven.
    And everyone will see him—
    even those who pierced him.
And all the nations of the world
    will mourn for him.
    Yes! Amen!
  • Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done.
  • You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
  • Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.
  • Who has done such mighty deeds,
summoning each new generation from the beginning of time?
It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
    I alone am he.
  • Their ways are futile and foolish.
They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol.
They decorate it with gold and silver
and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails
    so it won’t fall over.
    Their gods are like
helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field!
    They cannot speak,
and they need to be carried because they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of such gods,
for they can neither harm you nor do you any good.

Bible verse of the day

Better to be patient than powerful;
better to have self-control than to conquer a city.
