- Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased. - Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

- But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety. - So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.

Don’t ignore my tears.

a traveler passing through,
as my ancestors were before me. - Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.
- Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
- But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
- Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
- May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
- For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.
- So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
