- To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
- Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them. - But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.
- For he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones. - But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.

- One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.
- Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
- For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

- Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
- “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - But I, with shouts of grateful praise,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’
Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
