- For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
- Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
- Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord;
that walketh in his ways. - Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
- And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.
- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself.
- But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
- Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
- Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
- But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
- If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
- Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.
- And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
- Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
- And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
