Bible Verses about 'Obedience'

  • Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.

  • Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
  • Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.
  • But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.

  • Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

    Let them penetrate deep into your heart.

    to obey your commands.

  • So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.
  • In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
  • If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit.
  • But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
  • For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
