PSALM (4/4)

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.I will rejoice and be jubilant in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.The Lord is near to all who call on Him, To all who call on Him in truth.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.Blessed are those who comply with His testimonies, And seek Him with all their heart.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.He alone is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I will not be greatly shaken.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.Trust in the Lord and do good; Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and put me in an open space.
Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart.
For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will glorify the lowly with salvation.
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.My salvation and my glory rest on God; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help.
Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.
I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?What is man that You think of him, And a son of man that You are concerned about him?
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.
