Bible Verses about 'Person'

Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.Indeed, it is seldom that anyone will die for a just person, although perhaps for a good person someone might be willing to die. Thus, God proved his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.A good man produces good from the store of goodness in his heart, whereas an evil man produces evil from the store of evil within him. For the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.
Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest.A man’s attraction is his kindness; it is far better to be poor than to be a liar.
And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath. How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. How can a young man lead a spotless life? By living according to your word.

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed.
A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless is the man devoid of self-control.
Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law. When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayer is detestable.
In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs.
And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.”Then he went on, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For from within, from the human heart, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, arrogance, and folly. All these evils come from within, and they defile a person.”

If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive. If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.
As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the wits of his neighbor.
If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense.
