Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. | Entrust everything that you do to the Lord, and your plans will turn out to be successful. |
Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established. | Plans miscarry when counsel is lacking, but they succeed when there are many counselors. |
|
There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail. | Many are the plans in a human mind, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail. |
A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. | A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure. |
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.” | For I know full well the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for your misfortune, plans that will offer you a future filled with hope. |
May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel. | May he give you your heart’s desire and grant you success in all your plans. |
Yahweh, you are my God. I will exalt you! I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, in complete faithfulness and truth. | O Lord, you are my God. I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have accomplished wonderful things, formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. |
Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets. | Indeed, the Lord God does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants, the prophets. |
Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. | The Lord watches over the stranger and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he blocks the way of the wicked. |
Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands. | The Lord will fulfill his plan for me. Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands. |
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. | If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. |
