| If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. |
| I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them. | And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. |

| Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. | If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. | For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. |

| They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
