Proverbs 31:10 (3/6)

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.
Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult.
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.
Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat.
Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.A fool despises his father's instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
