- The Lord is good and upright;
Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in justice,
And He teaches the humble His way. - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom should I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom should I dread? - If an army encamps against me,
My heart will not fear;
If war arises against me,
In spite of this I am confident. - One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. - I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. - Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart triumphs,
And with my song I shall thank Him. - The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace. - For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. - In You, Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never be put to shame;
In Your righteousness rescue me. - For You are my rock and my fortress;
For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me. - My times are in Your hand;
Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me. - Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me in Your faithfulness. - How great is Your goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You,
Before the sons of mankind! - Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who wait for the Lord. - How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered! - When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
Through my groaning all day long. - I acknowledged my sin to You,
And I did not hide my guilt;
I said, “I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord”;
And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah - You are my hiding place; You keep me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will advise you with My eye upon you. - For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in faithfulness. - He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their lights. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen for His own inheritance. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who wait for His faithfulness.
