A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows,
Is God in His holy dwelling. - God makes a home for the lonely;
He leads out the prisoners into prosperity,
Only the rebellious live in parched lands. - Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden,
The God who is our salvation. Selah - My mouth is filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all day long. - My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You;
And my soul, which You have redeemed. - Whom do I have in heaven but You?
And with You, I desire nothing on earth. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name;
And save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your name. - Lord God of armies, restore us;
Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. - Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. - For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than live in the tents of wickedness. - For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You. - Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
