- Yahweh’s name is a strong tower:
the righteous run to him, and are safe. - The fear of man proves to be a snare,
but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. - Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. - In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep,
for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety. - Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
- Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh.
Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. - Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - For Yahweh loves justice,
and doesn’t forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
- And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- So we fasted and begged our God for this, and he granted our request.
- He who walks blamelessly walks surely,
but he who perverts his ways will be found out. - But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
- The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
like an unscalable wall in his own imagination. - As for God, his way is perfect.
Yahweh’s word is tried.
He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. - But I will sing of your strength.
Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning.
For you have been my high tower,
a refuge in the day of my distress. - I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
May Yahweh our God be with us as he was with our fathers. Let him not leave us or forsake us. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.Next verse!With image
