- The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run into it and are safe. - The fear of others lays a snare,
but one who trusts in the Lord is secure. - I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. - For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.
The righteous shall be kept safe forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil.
- I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- So we fasted and petitioned our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
- The wealth of the rich is their strong city;
in their imagination it is like a high wall. - This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - But I will sing of your might;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us. So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.Next verse!With image
