- The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. - Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. - For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. - Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
- And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
- He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. - But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- The rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and as an high wall in his own conceit. - As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble. - I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust.
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.Next verse!With image
