- The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe. - The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. - I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
- Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. - Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. - Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established. - For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. - Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
- And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
- So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.
- He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known. - But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem. - As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - But I will sing of Your power;
Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
For You have been my defense
And refuge in the day of my trouble. - I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.Next verse!With image
