It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him. | The statement is trustworthy: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him. |

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. | And behold, a voice from the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” |
And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? | And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ |
But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. | But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.” |
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. | And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.” |
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. | Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” |
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. | But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. |

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. | If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. | And heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ |

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. | Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. |
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. | And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” |
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. | In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. |
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. | Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” |
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. | So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. |
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. | But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ |

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. | And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” |
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. | No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. |
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. | But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment. |
