Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. | Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them. |

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. | At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it. |
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. | Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age. |

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. | Make sure that no one pays back evil for evil. Rather, always aim to achieve what is best for each other and for everyone. |
