| Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall. | Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. |

| Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it. | Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. |
| But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. | But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. |
| Salvation comes from the Lord. May your blessing be upon your people. Selah | From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. |
| If anyone wishes to serve me, he must follow me. Where I am, there also will my servant be. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor that person. | Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. |

| Whenever you fast, do not assume a gloomy expression like the hypocrites who contort their faces so that others may realize that they are fasting. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. | When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. |

| You shall serve the Lord, your God. He will bless your bread and water and take away sickness from your midst. | Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you. |
| Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my many transgressions, but remember me in your kindness, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. | Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
