| Those who are in the flesh can’t please God. | Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. |

| So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. | Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers. |
| Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. | Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. |

| So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) |

| Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. | Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. |

| Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control. | Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. |
| But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God. | But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. |
