- Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run into it and are safe. - You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- The wealth of the rich is their strong city;
in their imagination it is like a high wall. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
- Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.
- Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
- Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
a raging flame. - The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
- The young lions suffer want and hunger,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.
- Ah Lord God! It is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
- Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
- And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.
- I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
- Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.
- I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.
For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret, but worldly grief produces death.
