For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. | For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will glorify the lowly with salvation. |
Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. | Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. |

I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. | I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. |
It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.
