And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
For the Lord takes delight in his people, and he crowns the humble with salvation.For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

This is the conclusion I have reached: it is fitting for a man to eat and drink and find satisfaction in the results of his labors under the sun during the brief span of life that God has allotted him.Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to place your trust in mortals.It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

The way of God is blameless; the Lord’s promise has proved true. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
A fool takes no pleasure in understanding but only delights in expressing his own opinions.A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
