If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise.Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.Honour widows that are widows indeed.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
