- And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
- For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people:
he will beautify the meek with salvation. - Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
- He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. - Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
- I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
- He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue,
nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. - Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.Next verse!With image
