Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken. Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.
Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.
Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers.Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.

Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!”

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
For we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
