Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. | Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. |
And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you for your offenses. | And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. |

“If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.” | If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. |
Now if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. | And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. |
For Your goodness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds. | For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. |
Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. | Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. |
For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am giving you today, so that it may go well for you and for your children after you, and that you may live long on the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time. | Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever. |
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. | And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. |
To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king’s matter. | I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. |
You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves. | Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. |
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. | And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. |
Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life. | Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. |
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light. | Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. |
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace. | For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. |
Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your name. | Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake. |
You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word. | Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. |
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal. | Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. |
This is what the Lord says: “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find a resting place for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” | Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. |
For You are my rock and my fortress; For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me. | For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. |
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater. | We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth. |
For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. | For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. |
The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot. | The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. |
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good? | And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? |
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. | Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. |
