The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot. | The righteous is remembered with blessings, but the name of the wicked fades away. |
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good? | And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good. |
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. | In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. |
