  • But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To you, O God of my fathers,
    I offer thanks and praise
    because you have given me wisdom and power.

    what we asked of you;
    you have revealed to us the king’s dream.
  • Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his mercy endures forever.
  • Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.

    will offer sacrifice to you.
    What I have vowed I will fulfill.
    Salvation comes from the Lord.

    my heart places its trust in him.
    He has helped me, and I exult;
    then with my song I praise him.

    as I ponder your righteous judgments.
  • Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”
  • I will offer praise to you, O Lord,
    with my whole heart;
    I will recount all your wondrous deeds.
  • And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
  • You created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
    I praise you because I am wonderfully made;
    awesome are your works,
    as I know very well.
  • Let the word of Christ with all its richness dwell in you. Teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God with gratitude in your hearts.

  • Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
  • As the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts above your thoughts.

It is better to acquire wisdom rather than gold,
and more desirable to acquire understanding rather than silver.
