Bible Verses about 'The river of life'
- He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life. - A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
But perverseness in it breaks the spirit. - And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. - He who keeps instruction is in the way of life,
But he who refuses correction goes astray. - And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
- He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
- Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit. - For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
- You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
Are riches and honor and life. - Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
- And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
- Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
- I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
- For whoever finds me finds life,
And obtains favor from the Lord. - For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
- Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. - For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- But let justice run down like water,
And righteousness like a mighty stream. - Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid? - For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
- There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

And in the night His song shall be with me—
A prayer to the God of my life. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple. - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
- Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life. - Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life.
- Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
